We had a great time hosting a Kindergarten “Field” trip at Olivette Farm. It was exciting to show them our organic farm practices, and discuss sustainable food. We toured the field and looked for good bugs (lady bugs), and squished harmful ones. They got to plant seeds from our Seed Library with items from our Farm Freebie section. This was the perfect opportunity to show them how we can share resources, and also how we have gleaning opportunities for food banks to harvest healthy food. We finished the tour with a StoryWalk trail featuring “Oh, The Places You Will Go, and a chance to meet LoLa our mule.
