This workshop provides an introduction to the art and science of
natural dyes. We will discuss fber types, mordants, dye bath
preparation and more. Expect an engaging hands-on class that will
teach you the basics so you can go home and continue experimenting!
Using plants from the Olivette landscape we will prepare three dye
baths. Participants will receive two silk scarves to dye and color
samples from all the vats.
