Event Timeline
4:00pm: Cookie donation packing in the Green House
4:45pm: Winter Solstice Ceremony
5:00pm: Lighting Of The Spiral of Light
Winter Solstice Spiral Ceremony:
To honor this seasonal turning point, we invite you to join us for this ritual which symbolizes finding the light in the darkness together. Share a sacred community fire, candles, warm drinks, and ceremony. The ceremony takes place within a mandala of candles, where we honor the dark and the light inside each of us and the renewal of our hopes for the world. Each attendee takes an unlit candle into the center of the spiral of evergreen branches, where they light it from the central candle. Each lit candle is then brought out and placed along the spiral, expanding and spreading the light.
Cookie Donation:
We will be donating holiday cookie boxes. If you would like to participate in the donation, please bake and bring at least 3 dozen cookies. We will pool the baked goods into the center of a long table in the greenhouse, and then pack boxes with cookies of all flavors. We will provide gloves for packing.
Winter Gear Drive:
This night will be the last night of the Winter Gear Drive. All lightly used donations will be donated to Ahope after this event. You may bring winter gear to the farm stand to drop off anytime through the month.
This event takes place outdoors, so please bundle up. Please also bring your mask for the Greenhouse.
